Delete account

You can delete your Miwau account anytime, right in the app. Your pets, records and PDFs are deleted immediately, and it can't be undone.

In the app

  1. Open Miwau and sign in.
  2. Tap the gear icon at the top of the screen to open Settings.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Type DELETE and tap Delete my account again to confirm. Done.

Want to keep a copy first? In Settings, tap Export my data: you get a file with everything.

Without access to the app

Write to [email protected] from your account's email, with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm the request is yours, delete the account and let you know — within 15 days, as Brazil's data protection law requires.

What's deleted right away

  • Your account: name, email and password
  • Your pets and their records
  • Vaccines, dewormers, collars, medications and doses
  • Exams and the attached PDFs
  • Sharing invites and access you gave to clinics
  • The record of your acceptance of the terms, the voice command usage count and your devices' notification address

What stays, and why

  • Records you made on someone else's pets (your family's, for example) stay with the pet's owner, without your name.
  • The security history (invites, attachments, acceptances) is kept for 1 year, no longer linked to you.
  • Access logs required by Brazilian law (Marco Civil da Internet) are kept for the legal period.
  • Our provider's backups expire on their own, within the period stated in the Privacy Policy.
  • Reminders live only on your phone: they're deleted when you sign out or uninstall the app.
